Weather the storm. “Once there were two neighbors that both loved to garden. One was a mechanic and the other an insurance agent.

Although their work was quite different they loved to grow similar plants and compare their gardens.

The mechanic gave a small amount of water to his plants and he didn’t always give full attention to them. He kept caring for them to simple duties.

The insurance agent had a different approach. He was interested in technology to grow and always provided a lot of water, fertilizer and extra light to his plants. He was quick to talk about what a great job he had done looking after them so well. He took great pride in his beautiful plants.

The mechanics plants were simple, but looked good. The insurance agent’s plants were much bigger, fuller and greener.

One night, there was a storm, heavy rain and wind beat down on the plants. The next morning, both of the neighbors came out to inspect the damage to their gardens.

The insurance agent saw that his plants had come right out of the ground from the roots and were totally destroyed. While the mechanics plants were not damaged at all and stood tall and firm.
The insurance agent was surprised to see it, he went to the mechanic and exclaimed, “We both grew the same plants, I looked after my plants better than you looked after yours. I gave them more water, fertilizer and light. Still, my plants came out from the roots and are ruined while yours aren’t. How is that possible?”

The mechanic smiled and said, “You gave your plants more attention and water, but because of that they didn’t need to work for anything themselves.
.
I gave my plants a little water and let their roots search for more. Some days they had light while other days were dark. It is because of that, their roots grew deeper and that made them much stronger. That is why they survived the storm.”

It’s not about bigger, fuller and greener it’s about our roots. We can weather any storm because we’ve got great roots. 🇺🇸✌🏼❤️
